Back in the Saddle (The quest for a title)

Posted by on September 23, 2010

Well its early morning and I just about survived my gaming free day.

Had to get a little fix of Guild Wars this morning, so I logged on and made a small amount of progress in my “Cartographer Title”.   This involves the systematic uncovering of the Guild Wars world.  For people who have not played Guild Wars, the map is EXTREMELY large, its taken me around 300 hours to complete the content in Guild Wars (first campaign only) and probably a further 30-40 to uncover other areas that playing the main game didn’t uncover.

There was a time when I thought this title totally unachievable due to the scale of the project, but when Ame was parading around “Lions Arch” in her shiny new ”Grand Master Cartographer” title a couple of weeks back I thought why not have a go myself (Not that I am in any way a competitive gamer).

So, from the 12th of September I have been spending around 1 or 2 hours a day on this title and with a nice free weekend coming up I think I will try and push for the last bit.

This is a breakdown of my progress since I turned up the heat:

Map Progress 1

Will keep updating my progress here and once I have the shiny title I will be showing it off to the world.
